I went up a couple of weeks ago and most fish were suspended or just under the ice. Use a fish finder. I caught all my fish on Maniac Ice cuttr's in white with red flake tipped with a meal worm.

Last time I went the fish were scattered in the water column. The fish finder is the way to go.

Bring a good board or plank to get on the ice. The edge is soft in most places and still has a lot of deep snow with slush underneath. I was not the only one to get wet getting on the ice Sunday January 12th. Basic ice flies and jigs with bait. If the bite was on they would hit just about anything that was put in front of them. When it turned off it was dead and nobody was catching anything.

To bad about the soft edges. How thick is the ice? Hope to see you Saturday.

Ice is plenty thick, getting on is the trick. We should have some cold nights this week which should help, but I have been told that the edges on this pond are normally scketchy to get on.
