february fishing
#1
i read an article in the february edition of south carolina sportsman that said the redfish could be found in the creeks this time of the year. the article seemed to indicate the area around winyah bay was especially productive. anyone had any luck with redfish in the murrels inlet?

I haven't heard anything from the Murrells Inlet area Ron. I kow DR has packed his stuff up until probably the end of March or so. I'm sure he'll chime in anytime.

I do know that the grouper and sea bass are bitting good off shore a ways, around 12-15 miles out. But with out a larger boat and good GPS numbers, you'll surely strike out on that one.

there is a great article on redfish in south carolina sportsman magazine which can be read online. he says february is a good month for redfish but they stay way back in the creeks away from their natural predators, the dolphin. of course he is talking about the north inlet at georgetown. i just didn't know if murrels inlet was good for them as well
