Took a few days off to chase those crazy white birds. This year we caught the end of the adult migration. We were hunting very weary birds that had been shot at a lot already. The weather did not help us either. Went from mid 60's days with south breeze to a north gusting wind and 20 degree days. No carnage pics though, sorry.
Our group shot about 60 in the 2 days we were there. We did not take any shots under 60-80 yards. We wanted birds that were working the decoys, not flocks.
Saw a butload of birds... If you are truely into waterfowl I would highly recommend a visit to the Rainwater basins of Nebraska during the spring migration. It is insane.
Our hopes were up, the Squaw refuge about 200 miles south east of us had been gather and stockpiling juveniles that we were hoping would migrate. Their last count the day we left was around 1.750 million snow geese. That would have been a great migration hunt!!
