BAITCASTING REELS.

I AM WRITING TO ASK IF ANYONE HAS A SPIDER WIRE BAITCAST REEL FOR BASS FISHING?? IF SO, CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME HOW GOOD THEY ARE?? I NEED A NEW BAITCAST BEFORE THE UPCOMING BASS SEASON IN NEW YORK. Hi Jeff as far as the 1st part of your question, I can't answer as I do not have that reel. But the second part I can as I use spiderwire on my Abu Garcia AmbasSadeur. It works just fine with it. I can't think of a reel that spider wire wouldn't work. But then I haven't tried it on all my reels, just the ones I use most often. Hope this helps.

for casting and retreiving I like my spin cast reels (open faced veriety) with the quick fire trigger on the bails.

these type reels are fast when it comes to casting ane retreaving. if you are not used to working your lures with them then dont swicth. not worth the risk.

you should be able to use spider wire on most any bait caster, the problem more lies with the eyes of your rod. if the eyes are soft nylon you will wear croves in them. if you have the ceramic or chrome eyes you will be in good shape.
