I fished Henry's today and had a much better day then I had on the opener. I fished the western shore in various locations and landed 37 fish. I was lucky enough to find a group of super active fish. Most were 17-21" I had one that was right around 26". It was an awesome day, I would get up there If I was you.

Here are some pics from Monday with my family. I usually do not like fishing the "combat zone" but it worked out well to get my kids into some decent cutts.
Here is my curly headed one having fun after he got his shoes all wet.
He decided that he could get out of the car long enough to get in on the action.

My other son decided he didn't need socks to fight this fish.

This is my latest one with his first cutt. I start them young!

My wife took time out from the kids to get in on a couple of them.

This is my oldest. He is getting too good to just fish with dad. He likes to go off by himself.

Henrys was great this weekend and the time with my family was even better.

We fished the west side between county boat dock and Staleys. We only caught 1 cutthroat the rest were hybrids. The guys fishing right around the docks were still catching alot of cutts. Attached is a picture of one my son caught.

Great fish. Maybe I will give up flyfishing[cool] Hopefully your wife's luck will stay in your boat for the salmon fly hatch on Thur.

My son and I fished flies. My wife fished worms and she caught more fish and bigger fish than we did. My son ended up switching to spinners and did pretty good with them.

Windriver, I don't know if the luck is with the boat or with the worms. Seems like the last couple of times out the guys fishing worms get the big ones.

So, try a worm fly. A night crawler should be easy as heck to make.
I do believe the FLY is the key element here. All My big fish were on a brown #12 woolly. Being in the ZONE is just as important. THIS does require a sinking line. Bill Schiess recommends a Type II or III Wet Cell so it forms a belly to clear the weeds. I use an Intermediate and a TYPE II (if windy) Density Compensated (no belly)
All in what works.
