new aquatic growth?

Been seeing some sago pondweed in the backs of coves. I know it is at Bowman Reservoir, but never seen it in Mead. Anyone else noticed this growth? I am finding bass in it.

There is some growing in the backs of coves over by Calville. I was pulling an iridescent white Rapala crankbait through some of it the other day, and nailed one about a pound, and another pushing two. Also had one roll on an unweighted white 5 inch slug-go, and I missed 2 crankbait fish. Caught a 1 1/2lb striper on a little white spinnerbait about 3 feet from the shoreline. Good time out there.
