Best B-Day present

My friend and the drummer for Blue deVille gave me the best present........BAMBOO! That's right, he gave me a Bamboo........................pole![laugh]

The good thing is, I don't have to worry abought breaking the guides...cause there isn't any![:p] There is a nice ring at the top and great detail was put into making the wrapping look rustic.
Don't have to worry about the cork and reel seat getting damaged either.....cause there isn't any![:p]
The ferruls look good and the pole is almost straight[laugh]
I figured out, "O" rings work okay as reel holders.

That certainly is a unique gift.

I have never seen a bamboo pole like that. Now, in the south a number of people fish with a cane pole. To my recollection, in some places if you are using a cane pole without a reel then you don't need a license.
