Anyone knows what kind of fish is this?

Looks like a minnow to me, could be a fresh water hearing too "only a guess"

how about a little more detail, lenth would be a great help.

It was about half a pound and one foot long. I think it is a silver carp. We steamed it and it tasted like that. It had a lot of bones.

The first one I caught I thought it was a squawfish. I am getting better, but I still have trouble with fish ID.
