Lake Mead Mon. 12-8 (a little late)

Hit the lake solo on Monday. Showed up at the PWC beach about 6:30 to calm, cloudy conditions and a beautiful sunrise.

I launched off pwc and paddled out towards the buoys. I trolled from pwc, to the mouth of Boulder Harbor, then turned and trolled deeper water toward the islands. It was nice and cloudy. Didn't even need the sunglasses.

About 150 yards from the boulder harbor entrance, I got nailed by this nice guy.

Came in right at 2 1/2 lbs. He took the chrome Spinnow.
He was to be my only fish for the day.

I continued trolling around the islands and back to PWC for a total of 7 miles of paddling. What a good workout.

Off the water by 10:30. It got pretty windy, and the water was a bit choppy by the time I landed.

All in all, a great day, even though fishing was slow.

I'll get 'em next time.

Hardcore. Seven miles of paddling out and around the Boulder Islands on a lake that can turn into a mess in a hurry. And solo to boot!

Great report, nice pictures.
