I thought I'd try and save a little money by making some of my own tackle. Snell knots seem really tough to get right when tying for wreck or maybe tuna fishing. I tried practicing with 60 pound mono. The traditional snell and even the uni both took a lot of work to get right. Do I need mono leader material? Also, does a snell knot offer an advantage over a hangman's or a clich knot when tying on a hook
