Any ice reports ?
#1
The deep snow and the warm spell followed by the high winds left my area with ice I wouldn't even think about trying .

I traveled to westbranch and the roads were covered with a thin skim of ice and downed trees along the way .

Later I split some wood and there was water just under the snow , twards evening it started to firm up a bit .

Is there any fishable ice in your area ? If so , tell us where .

4 days ago we had 2 feet of snow and 3 inches of ice,
2 days ago we had no snow and Ice receeding from the shore lines and 50 mile an hour winds.

I was kind of happy to see the snow go in that I had no more room for any more, we had mountians 10 foot high on our streets.

but now that it is all gone it starts again later on today with a 4-6 inch prediction...

st clair county has an ice worning in effect because of the winds, the wind has piled up ice along the shore lines 4-5 feet high in places.

Our ice , well I haven't ventured out since a week ago but it resembled a lemonade slushey from the 7-11 on sunday .
The water that was in the yard is now harder than cement and rocksalt and fertilizer hasen't put a dent in it , safe to say there will be some fishable ice by this weekend .
I spent yesterday replacing our well pump . A hose worked loose during the night and flooded the pit , the moter shorted out when the water level reached it . I'm glad it happened yesterday , it's too cold out tonight to mess with something like that .

that aint nothin that a pot of supper hot chocolate wont take care of, Just remember to have the girls look the other way..[angelic][:p]

those winds picked up most all the water and carried it off from here in the pontiac area before the cold set back in.... last night we got about an inch of fluff snow....

Just near shore ice but that was a week or so ago , same thing with the bay .
Too windy the last few days ,I did see on the news that the ice broke free out near Chicago and the guys left there sleds and a pick-up adrift .

Ya' ever wonder if or how someone would get their car back once it was stuck out on a free floating piece of ice ?

i know a couple guys went out there today, dont know when I will hear back from them.... I doubt if they are going out far if at all, they may be fishing in the public canal at the state boat launch 'southrige'... that is pretty much sheltered,

no news at all from ancor bay....
