Good choices! The black helgie and silver corkie are probably one of the best "searching" setups I know of, and the pink worm is one of the best new baits out there. I also like to jerk a blue and silver steelie through a stretch of river just to see if there are any aggresive fish in there before I start drifting the bottom. Something else to try is Ebenezer from about noon to 2 or 3, for some reason they move out on that flat when the water warms up a little. I sure wish I was going with you guys, maybe I'll get lucky and find a steelhead show on the fishing network this weekend[:/]. Good luck to you guys down there.

I always wondered how those pink worms worked kinda thought they where a gimmick at first but sure seems like it has became a must have for steelies, we fished around riggings and had a blast using the old standby jig and shrimp combo but i did notice an old boy up there kicking but using some small tube jigs a little bigger then you would use for crappie not much bigger in hot pink and white and blue and white he said the smaller size worked better on clear water days and he also was using a metallic blue spinner about 1/2 once to cover ground with I thought the water was to cold to get them to chase one but i was wrong he smacked a nice one on it a little over 32 inches

I fish with a float and jig and usually do well. I haven't used my pink worms very much.
