Put in around 6:00 at Waterfront and headed to upriver to a creek I'm trying to learn. Caught a few slicks on an underwater point on an xr50, but couldn't find size. Moved into main lake coves and located some fish in the ditches leading to the coves, size was down but managed 2 3+lb keepers in that area on a 1/4 oz trap. Moved into the back of North Sauty and caught a few slicks targeting stumps with Lizards. David Fritts was working his normal area, North Sauty Hwy 79 Rip-Rap. He said he was struggling today, he was throwing his chart DT-6. He had a TON of boats with him. Decided to fish the main river ledges, focusing on hard cover instead of grass... just hauled water, but eventually pulled up to some clumpy grass and nailed a 4.5 lber on a One Knocker. I really wanted to work that area more, but had to head home to get ready for a little Valentine's Day rendevoux tonight! Water temps ranged from 48 in the morning to 53 in some parts of North Sauty. Fish were caught 1.5 - 5 ft in depth on xr50, 1/4 oz trap, one knockers and lizards... boated 11 total, 3 keepers around 11ish lbs.
Left the camera in the truck! emoBang
