Well braved the condtions today and it wasnt really that bad light drizzle most of the day with a few peaks of sun in the afternoon.. Water temp was 49 all day and the current was steady all day allowing for some good drifting.. Fished shiners, cranks, rattletraps and shaky head worms(Robo worms Aaron's Magic color) and had a pretty decent day. Ended up with 3 chunky smallies 5 spots and 3 drum. 2 of the drum went close to 30 lbs i bet and put up some drag screaming fights on my new light action rod with 6lb test. The 2nd one was caught near the damn and I wasnt sure if i was going to land him in the current. For such a nasty fish it was fun to catch. The smallies came in 20 ft of water on shiners drifting over Rockpiles. All the spots came in current breaks and were caught on shiners and shaky heads. They seemed to be a little shallower also. Had the river to myself almost all day expect for between 2 and 3 when all the CBA boys came flying through.. Looked like 5 or 6 guys locked through and went down to the lake end.. Going to give it a go tomorrow but expect it will be tough with the massive cold front moving in but who knows maybe it will turn them on.. Just glad to have 2 days in a row of work and get to do some fishing.
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
And last but not least I had a double on one bait LOL
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341...double.jpg
