<br /> Shane and I got up to Parksville this afternoon and fished a good 4 hours...<br /> We tried throwing spinnerbaits and jerkbaits with shad like features. Had alot of small spots chase the baits up to the boat today but they would never strike. Since they were small we tried throwing smaller baits... no luck with that so we put what we both started out with back on and ended up with a 13inch spot.<br /> The good news is that the shad are starting to move back in the coves and creeks but few fish are even working on em. Still lots of shad floating to the surface, most seem to have nasty blood marks on em from bass but we've only seen a few fish bust today.<br /> It'll be another 2-3 weeks before we get that really good spring bite and the water starts rising again on Parksville...
