Alison had a teachers work day off today so we headed to the river to try to put her on some catfish. Last time we tried this we got skunked So I was hopeing today would be a good one,
After getting a late start and having to stop by and get a new liscense, we got at the ramp about 11, said a quick hello to Mr EricM, and headed out eager to get started after doing about 10 laps around the area trying to mark some fish we settled in to a area, droped the hook and started to wait, and wait, and wait, no fish after what was probably a couple of hrs, so we moved and bottom bounced for a while with still no fish, now im getting woried, droped the hook for a second time set out the lines to give this a try again, and finaly managed a couple of stray fish, skunks off the boat , to add insult to injury got to watch the Big Dog land a great fish and even got a close up of it which really thrilled Peanut, "Man that fish was BIG""emoWorthy emoWorthy
We hung on that spot for about a hr and managed about 5 fish all about 8-12, then moved again, things started to pick up about 6:00 and from there to about 7:30 thats when things got hot,, We had several doubles on and managed about 25 of so before we headed back to town,

A couple of notes we did hook into two nice fish that where pulling grag off that came unbuttoned after I thought they where hooked good, emoBang I think they where just holding onto the bait, I added a stinger rig but never got a good bite on that line again,,

Second, the big fish for the day was 16 lbs, which is Alisons personal best, emoDance

Great day on the water,, emoAngel
Better company,,
Puddle
...............................emoAngler
emoFish emoFish
