STEVE B, Chickamauga, Crappie, 3/17/09, nightrider
#1
Fished today with nightrider. At the boat dock it looked like we could navigate through the fog, However, after becoming temporarily disoriented a couple of times (t.d. is an euphemism for not knowing where one is or in which direction one is headed}, we did find some crappie. We were only keeping fish over 11 ½” . We brought home 11 and culled scores shorter than that. Of the ones we kept, one was 14 ¾” and another 14 ½”. There was another over 14” according to Mikes calibrated eyes that we didn’t actually measure (when you get the answer you want, quit asking the question.) Most fish were caught on a 4 count on anything that had some chartreuse on it. We fished bluffs and deep water docks successfully and Wolftever and brush piles unsuccessfully..
