polo-dog, Chickamauga, Bass, Crappie, 3/18/09, Freida
#1
No one else was awake at the house so I went fishing with Freida. We got on the water at 7:45 and were off by 9:15. The crappie in the creek have moved or have lock jaw because of the muddy water. Fished for them for about 30 min. Decided to try for bass as the water temp was 56 degrees in the mid creek but muddy. Fished the area that held my big fish last week and caught 6 with a 3-4lber shaking off at the boat. Fished spinnerbaits. I started out fishing the willow leaf blades that caught the big fish last week but lost it on some cover so changed to a colorado blade in chartreuse and that seemed to make all the difference. Another guy was out there that I talked to and he had been using willows and didn't catch one. I guess that sometimes loosing a bait can be a good thing. I shouldn't have been so lazy fishing with the willow leaf blades just because it was tied on. I took one pic. Will post it later.
