fished a dogfight out of the Suck creek ramp this evening, had 10 boats show up for their first one this year. Started out near Williams Island fishing a couple of spots that held fish the other day. They were still there. Water temp on the river stayed around 56 degrees and there was quite a bit of current and plenty of wind to start with. Threw cranks, plastics and spinner baits and the fish I caught was on the spinner baits slow rolled into deeper water 20' plus. Ended up with eight fish caught and losing one really good fish when I tangled up the net in a spare rod while trying to keep the boat off of a fallen tree. It was better then the three I weigh in emoBang . Ended up with three chunky spots weighing 8 lbs 14 ozs. good enough for first place. second place 8 lbs 3 ozs, third weighed in at 7lbs 12 ozs. All three that I weighed came from under the same tree in about 10 minutes. Nice evening on the water after the wind died down.
