Pthach, Chickamauga, Blue Catfish, 3-19-09, Wife & Daughter
#1
I got my boat out for the first time this year. I put my CFF stickers on the boat. Then I installed the driftmaster rod holders that I ordered over the winter.

My wife and daughter came along to keep me company.

We went to the not so secret spot with chicken breast. We stayed for a couple of hours. I only caught two fish, the first was 15 pounds and the second was 2 pounds.

I also landed about a 30' piece of yellow monofilament that had a 2 oz sinker and a large circle hook on it. The barb on the circle hook was mashed flat. I liked the rig. It was tied so that the sinker was lower than the hook and the hook stuck off to the side 3 to 5 inches. I wonder who's rig I snared.. I have to use a three way swivel to get the same results. I remember when I was fishing off shore last year in Tybee Island GA. The captain used the same sort of setup for bottom fishing. I'd like to learn how to tie that.

I'll attach a picture of the 15 pound Blue.
