backed the old bandit in the water at 3 55 this morning ,man ala is beautiful at that time of the morning,fished close to the ramp till others showed up ,someone was fishin off the bank at the resturant,an i wanted to stay close to the car till others showed up.thoughts of the cut tires fresh sill in my mind.the water temp was 60.i eased over to that secret hole,hoping to see betty sue just one more time.tried the jig first, caught a few right off the bat,14inches.finally got one to the boat that went right at 3 lbs.things was looking up.they stoped hitting the jig ,so i remembered what bassert told me.find something that looks the same but with a different profile.so i got me an arkie jig head,with no skirt,an installed a grass craw,that was the ticket,after two or three cast ,she hit an came towards me i like to have not caught up with her,but i did an she was 5 lb 2 ozs.with a very bloody tail,the wind got up but was not so bad you could not fish.later in the evening the wind let up SOME.the water warmed to a blistering 63.i hung with it till 5 oclock,with only 3 hours sleep last night i knew the drive home was going to be rough.but it was all around a great day.o yeah ,i even throwed a rattle trap,no hits at all.i must have tenn rattles traps.thats got to be the reason they dont work on ala bass.sorry for not having a picture i got one but it may take a week to get it to you all,an i am really sleepy,i took a five minute nap while fishng,but it was just not long enough..got to stay home saturday to do yard work,good luck to everybody this weekend.emoUSA one last word, betty sue is still home, i think she hit me once today,when i set the hook it felt like my arm came out of socket,really,but i only felt her for a second,she never got the hook maybe next time.shiftworker knows where she lives, maybe he will get her tomorrow,i think me an bassert may go down there next friday,an if he catches her again i am going to push in out of the boat.lol. its ok the water is only a foot an a half deep,ops .did i say 1 an 1/2 foot ,i meant 6 foot.....lol lol.....emoUSA
