Dave invited me down this weekend to try for some stripers. We started out below Wilson Dam and hit 4 of them at 8, 15, 18, and 19 lbs. Tons of white bass thrown in, with my biggest ever at 2 lbs 12 ounces. Dave also was broken off by a massive striper. After that, the bite slowed a bit and we checked out Wheeler Dam. Dave hit a few smallies and a couple of drum. After picking up antibiotics and pain pills at Wal-Mart, we headed to Guntersville Dam. No stripers, but lots of white bass and drum. That's when Minner came along and showed us how to catch a bunch of trophy drum. I could go on and on but I've been up since 3:45 eastern time! Great day, we're going out in the morning below guntersville before I head back to Chattanooga. Spurhunter, if you read this, I would consider going striper fishing with your clients below Wilson on Monday with Mike. Start EARLY, if you go, they are in there!
