Mark from the Cleveland Jr. Bass Club and I hit the water around 3 yesterday and didnt get off til dark. We only fished about an 2 hours until the motor wouldnt start up. At first it sounded like the battery was bad so we switched batteries. Didnt help... but the motor trim was working just fine. When you turned the key to crank, the starters gear would be weak and spin slowly for a second then stop. So its either something with the wiring to the starter or the starter itself. emoVomit
Anyways we started off fishing texas rigs and never got our first bite on it, then switched to shakeyheads and started catching fish. We had only landed 4, they were all keepers. Biggest one may have only gone about 2lbs, but sure did put up a huge fight, I thought I was pulling in another one of those 4lb spaats.
Well, we wouldve definatly landed that 5th keeper but had to start trolling back to the East Ramp from Indian Creek around 5... took us 3 1/2 hours to get to the bend on up the lake past the marina until a nice couple of folks towed us the rest of the way. I appreciate their help! It was pretty dark when we got back to the ramp. I'm fixing to get with my buddy tonight and try to figure this motor out. Anyone have any ideas?
Enjoy the pics...
