Well showed up about 10 Oclock to see three boats taking out and watching 4-5 ft swells hit the dock figured it would be a fun day... Wind blew hard most of the day but the water turned off and the chop went away. Fished different areas all around the dam all day and had a pretty solid day.. Got 9 smallies all in the 10-15 inch range but great fighters.. 7 spots 2 yellow bass a good size cat that inhaled a tube, one monster drum and then ended the day with a brute of a smallie.. Was 17" but had to be pushing 4 1/2 lbs.( got to buy some scales!) It was a thing of beauty she got mad at the boat took me around the boat once then jumped 3 times before I was able to net it.. Talk about fun..finally ended my drought on good smallies it had been a month or more since my last nice one. This one looked to be full of eggs.. Got a quick couple pics and back she went. Tried some new techniques today and did farely well.. Really trying to learn these smallies down here.. Hopefully one day Ill be as good as Catch1 and Peck those guys know how to hammer them.. Thanks for the tips guys emoThumbsup .Fish were caught on tubes, jerkbaits, worms and the big daddy came on a shiner only bite all day on a shiner.
Also fished Saturday and had about the same results just didnt have anything of any size.. nothing worth taking pictures of but did catch 10 or so smallies..

Hopefully trying some new things will pay off.. I really want to catch a 7+lb smallie this year i know he is down there emoEnforce

Also saw and chatted with Rsimms briefly.. seen them by the dam wearing the cats out.. every time I turned around they were taking pictures!

http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341...1217-1.jpg
