my cousin from north carolina came down to visit this weekend and he wanted to get out and fish the famous lake guntersville. i told two weeks ago not to believe everything he has read, that sometimes the lake can be very humbling..... we got out today around 7 and fished til 3 when to storms rolled in and you couldnt even stand up in the boat the wind and rain was so bad.... well onto the fishin....

we started in mid lake area were i had caught some good fish last week... on his 2nd cast he caught his first guntersville bass (2lb). he was excited to get the skunk out early.. on my next cast i caught a 5lb 11 oz fish that ended up being our biggest fish of the day and only fish over 3lb... we caught fish on everything we threw today.... we probably caught over 35 fish today... probably 15 keepers... but the biggest other than the one fish was around 2 1/2 lbs... best 5 today only around 14 or 15 lbs... it was still a good trip catchin up with some family i havent seen in a couple of years.

we are going to get after them again in the morning and hopefully find a few bigger fish....

oh, while going down the river trying to get back into roseberry from where we had run down toward goosepond.... it was so ruff out there that the brackett that holds my gps on my boat snapped in half.... just one of them days.....it was as ruff out there as i have seen it in a long time...

hopefully tomorrow will be better...... although i think the wind is going to be 20mph plus again... oh well,
