When I was a kid I was dragging a net along the bottom of a stream looking for crayfish, and I pulled up a baby racoon. That was a pretty nasty surprise. A few years later I snagged a very rotten possum on a bass lure with a couple of sets of trebles. As soft as that thing was, one of the hooks just wouldn't pull free, I really had to tear it out, and then there was still a bit of skin on the hook. I'm glad that hasn't happened again since.
