So I was going to fish this with Lefty, but he did not make it back in town in time, so Mendy went with me. She was a little hesitant because she does not think she can help that much, Wrong! Saw Churly, BBass, Pointer, Scott and some others that I cannot remember their name. good to see you all. So I let all the boats take off first, since mine is a little slow. I knew exactly where I wanted to go. Did not see any boats go in that direction, so I figured we would be good, and we were. Water temp was 58.7F All fish caught on plastic in 11ft of water near a flat where I knew they had been. Mendy caught her PB and the one seen on ratmans event post on a 10.5" worm texas style. I was not confident in the 10.5 until tonight. We caught fish smaller than the worm, honestly. I caught a good one on my new secret plastic, small one not even close to a 10". ONe time I look over and see her rod bounce right as she sets the hook, came out. I said when you feel it hit, wait a second and then pull up slightly, if its spongy, set the hook. NExt thing you know I see her fighting this great fish, she said it felt spongy. I lost another good one on a rattle trap and she lost a good one on the monster worm. Had one of those fish made it in the boat it would be a different story, but I guess you cannot get paid everytime you fish a tourney! emoLaugh Just kidding. My new name is Blind squirrel, because even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. So two keepers weighing 7.2, just could not find that last keeper. WE should have stayed in the same spot, I know there was another one down there. I think we fished the same area 2hr. Only used about a gallon of gas tonight which is a plus. Got photo but camera wont turn on now, so go to ratmans results to see the photo.
