Fished a club tourny on the Nick today. Had a pretty good day with everyone weighing in fish. As far as for me and my partner we we started out throwing traps and cranks on flats. Had 2 keepers in the 1st 30 mins then nothing for awhile so we moved into some backwater areas and got 2 more keepers with one of them being our big fish at 4-3. After about 1 1/2 hours of only catching short fish we made a loooong run up river where I had caught some decent fish 2 weeks ago. 1st fish was a 15 1/2 spot then a few smaller fish. With 1 1/2 hrs to go ran back to where we started on the flats to finish the day. Had a real good fish on that would probaly been our best fish of the day but it just ended up being the one that got away! We ended up 4th with right at 12 1/2 lbs. Skeeter and partner had a real nice bag with a little over 15 lbs for the win. Congrats to them, they was due for a good day and we was glad to see them get it. Big fish was caught by mine and skeeters mom and weighed4-13.
