Tried bass fishing for a while in the area of the powerhouse without much luck (one spot, 2 drum and one redeye on shiners and Gitzits). So, I tried the crappie and ended up catching about 2 dozen with a limit of nice keepers up to 13 7/8". couldn't squeeze the tail down enough to make TARP size. They were caught on crappie stingers and BG shads, mostly with 1/16oz. leadheads. The best colors were pearl and smoke/glitter with the tails dipped in that garlicky chartreuse juice. The pattern was varied from bluffs to a roadbed to a boathouse usually with some brush involved with a depth around 10-12 ft.

Ran into Drumking and ....Newsflash!....he was not fishing for crappie!!!!!!!!!!!! He was going after spots. He said he was about to go home and do some gardening. I told him I was about to head home to cook steaks for company-- Tough duty!
