fished friday for the first time in over two weeks..... (i was going through withdrawels).... we were looking around for some fish for a club tourney on sat....<br /><br />fish bit pretty well most of the day friday.... we caught around 30 or more fish 10 keepers... best 5 a shade over 21lbs.... we tried moving around a bunch and we left if we&#39;d catch 2 keepers in the same area..... most fish were post spawn... did see a few on bed..... marked them and figured i would save them for sat... (although im not a good sight fisherman) one was a 4 or 5lber... .figured i give it a shot....i did and they were still there...i just couldnt catch them......imagine that...<br /><br />on to today.... tuff.... my so called best area..... was my worst... we didnt catch a fish til almost 10 o&#39;clock once we gave up on the first stop. we fished the 2nd stop for an hour or so when jw finally put a solid 4lber in the boat...it was nice to get the skunk out of the boat....an hour later i put a 5lber and another 4lber in the boat..... now we had a little mo&#39; going and thought we might just make a run at it.... well, wrong.... it got extremely hard for us from then on..... we managed two more that barely stretched that weighed less than 2lbs a piece..... tried and tried to cull but we felt we did all we could do with scratching out a limit..... we caught 15 or 20 short fished mixed in there all day.... and the last cast of the day, i had one pic up my jig and just ease off to the deeper water...... i was thinking.... clutch right..... wrong.... another 2lber.... thought i was going to put us in the money... oh, well... <br /><br />we ended up in 4th or 5th place.....with 17.63lbs... one or two places out of the money... 1st was 21....2nd was 20 something, and there were either one or two sacks that were just shy of 20lbs.... <br /><br />most fish caught on plastics with the exeption of just a few that came on spinnerbait and jig....<br /><br /><br />most the pics are from friday.... my friend put on a clinic for me.....todays pic has my little boy in it....<br /><br />it was good to get back out there... hopefully i can fish all week....
