<br /> Started the morning getting some bait with the cast net and after a few throws had all i needed for the day.. Also caught a huge crappie looked to be 15&#43; inches in the cast net he must have been feeding on all the shad.. Fished around the damn with no luck so moved over to the railroad bridge and on my 2nd drift throw hooked my best largemouth of the year.. He was a strong fighter and just inhaled the threadfin! After a few jumps and a few runs under the boat I got him netted.. He topped the scales at 5.9 lbs. Dont seem to catch many largemouths down there but when u do they are big. Stayed there for a few hours and caught 10-15 spots and then moved on down river.. Near the golf course on a deep hump I hooked up with a big smallie that jumped once and snapped my line, then retied went back hooked another big one and he snapped my line again.. Talk about mad emoBang Going to respool all my reels today..Finally caught a few smallies downtown before leaving.. Was a pretty good numbers day topped off by the big largemouth. Water temp was finally over 60 things should pick up soon.. Smallies were caught on crankbaits, Spots came on threadfins. tubes and spinner baits and the big largemouth was on love bait..
