My Willard drought has been broken!!
We arrived at Willard around 4 pm and hit the water running. The South Marina was a good choice to launch at, much more enjoyable this time. We pretty much trolled around the whole perimeter of Willard tonight. I was the only one in the boat that landed anything, to bad it was not an infamous wiper. I nailed two Walleye that are now in my fridge ready to be cooked up tomorrow evening. We had three fishing off the boat tonight and my luck fishing token (my wonderful wife) driving the ship. I was using a no5 Rapala Shad Rap in traditional shad colors. I had many hits that I missed and a couple hit and ran hard; I reeaaallllyyy wanted to land those. My friend had one hit that stripped his whole line then snap... gone. Polokid was up with us also. Polo used a bunch of different lures and I think all of them produced a few hits. We met GOTS2FISH on the dock in the middle of a really nast wind storm. It was great to meet a BFT member up doing what we all love to do. Then we fished some more. Overall a really good night of sun and fun. The most productive parts were between the feedlot and the island and between the lightpole and the south western part of the lake.
Hopefully these pics work...
Here is me with my second Walleye and Polokid behind me.
