EricM, Chickamauga, blue cats, 5-10-09
#1
I got the pacemaker/defib unit adjusted and just had to try it out, so I went out for a few hours today and chased bait and blue cats. I threw the cast net all I cared to, and came up with a total of ONE gizzard shad for my effort, and was rewarded with a 15-16 pound blue on it. I also used frozen skipjack, and managed a 33 pound beauty as well as 7 other blues in the 6 to 10 pound range. Very few other fishermen around today, bass or cat. A few ocean liners were out, but they were very polite today! Here's the 33 for your viewing pleasure. I caught it fairly early, while it was still a bit chilly in the wind.......
