What a wonderful evening on the water with my boy! We went searching for the long-eared green sunfish and spots below the riverpark, started catching spots right away against the rip-rap, but once we found the panfish, my son was in hog heaven! we forgot all about the bass and fished for the pretty pans for a little over an hour - caught over 60, with another dozen small spots, smallmouth, largemouth and goggleyes thrown in for fun. It was great training for the spring crappie bite for my son, perhaps the most action that I have ever had in freshwater. We had doubles on the entire time..could only stay for an hour or so, but it was a blast. Perfect for a kid (and his dad). Also included a pic of this past wknd crappie, one @ 15 1/4, the other @ 14 3/4.

All gills were released, 4 of the crappie made it home in time for dinner.

PA's were the ticket for the sunfish, BG shad for the crappie
