My brother-in-law has been wanting some fish for supper so we decided to chase some pan fish yesterday. We took our ultra lites and some bitsy minnows and started off around Marion County park. The first fish I caught was a big mouth that would go about 4 or 5 #. A lot of fun on that 4# line! We started catching small bluegill so we went up around Serodino. We caught a lot of eating size bluegill plus some 1-2# crappie. My BIL caught a channel cat that went about 6 or 7#. He had a time getting that in the boat! All the larger fish were hitting in about 6-8 ft.of water. We used three or four different colors ant they all seemed to work good. We took home a dozen gills and a half dozen crappie and let the rest go back for another day.
