The three Amigo's hit the water today at 7:20AM and fished until 11AM. What a great morning. We fished the same area Alvin and I fished last week and our fish are still there, although they moved from the deeper water to the tops of the flats. The area we were fishing has flats that are 3-6 feet deep on top with 10-14 feet of water around them. Today the fish were very shallow and most of them were 5 feet or less.
I started the day off with a nice 2.5 lb keeper on a 10" worm followed by Polo catching one a XR-75. Alvin followed up with another on a 10" worm. The rest of the morning was pretty much the same with each of use taking turns catching fish. We caught fish on XR-75, 10" worms, 2.5" swim baits, and Series 3 cranks. The fish were very active and we could see minnows being chased all over the flat. We ended the morning with 16 bass boated, 7 were keepers with big fish at 3.5 lbs. We did loose 2 more and I broke off a petty good fish that wraped me around a post. Two trips in a row where I have broke off a good fish. Our best 3 would have went 8.5 lbs and the best 5 would have been around 13 lbs. Water temp was 70 all morning.
After fishing we all hit Kevin Browns Burgers and ate too much. Man those burgers are goooood!!!!!
