My father-in-law hadnt been fishing...bass fishing in probably 5 years at least and he had time off this week so we decided to go after I got off work. He was throwing a frog I was throwing a shakey head. Now this was one funky looking frog and he was fishing it almost texas rig...I was thinking, "I dont know about it, but you never know." Next thing you know he throws up along some rip-rap and an immediate explosion on the water. Well because he hadnt used the reel in so long his drag was completely loose....almost a free spool. Both he and I are trying to tighten the drag, and finally do. Well the bass (big bass) starts diving down...Im thinking, "I wonder if he's changed his line in the past 5 yrs"...right then it snaps. He moans over that for the next hour. Anyway, anyway...We ended up catch about 7-8 fish in about 3 hours...not that great but not too bad. Best 3 would have been 6.5. It was to their with the old man. He really had a good time...He certainly breaks his back for me...very generous with his time and energy. Anytime I have projects from flooring to transmissions, he's there. It was good to be able get out on the water doing something he loves and not able to do very often. Take Care guys.

Matt Locklear
