it was a trip to remember.... we started off nice and until the onstar directions sent us into florida........ finally as we got rebounded and going in the right direction.... we had one more right turn to take to be on the road we were staying when we pulled up to the red light...... we sat there for about 30 seconds when BAM....some drunk women on a cell phone never checked up and nailed us............. it definately could have been worse... but it scared the hell out of us anyway........kinda hurt a little too.... over an hour later we finally got to leave and get to the hotel.<br /><br />we pulled out at 6am on a 12 hour trip.... we caught some decent size amber jack that was pretty fun...and some huge red snapper...but our luck, we couldnt keep any of them because the season doesnt start til monday....we caught a ton of little fish, some was bait..some came home with us... i have no idea what they were called....<br /><br />me and jw did catch some amber jack on an plastic jig...... that was fun.... they would almost jerk the rod out of your hand...<br /><br />we took our flipping sticks with the oldest reels we could find laying around the house.... spooled em up with 65lb braid...and that was a lot more fun than using those stiff rods and humungous reels they had when we were catching bait and smaller fish.<br /><br />it was a good trip....with some ups and downs.....a boat load of laughs.... and the fishing was just ok.....we didnt catch near as many as they have in the past.....but if we could have kept the red snapper...it would have been a lot more fish in the cooler...<br />
