I wanted badly to get a revo or curado or another good quality baitcaster but I also wanted a new rod as well. I ended up getting a quantum code combo from dicks @ hamilton place. I read a bunch of mixed reviews about them but I remained optomistic. And I new I wouldnt have enough to get a curado or revo AND a new rod( I want to try one of those nukes that have been broadcasted on here!) Didnt have time to go to grants or smokey&#39;s in cleve-land so I had to stick around town. I was at sportsmans yesterday but I didn&#39;t want to give them my denerios! After much debate and turmoil I got the code combo at dicks. They had a revo combo but I was shy maybe 30 doleres. The code it was. SO... tonight I decided on the spur of the moment to run down to the local ponds here in FT O. It was late and I figured I could get a decent topwater bite and since I just love zoom toads, I threw one. I got one 1 lb spot in my hand and had at least 5-6 others spit the toad out emoMad I&#39;ve had this happen before and I swear its b/c of the 4/0 hook. Last time this happened I downsized the hook and BINGO!! Tonight I only had the toad, rod ,and reel. So I don&#39;t think I did that bad for 30-40 minute trip at the end of the day. I think I REALLY like this new rod and reel. The only complaint I have is the mag brake only is adjustable in 1/3 increments(i.e. 3,6,9). I hope I don&#39;t run into future problems with it, only time will tell. Hopefully I can get up to the riverpark or beyond this weekend to give it a real workout but until then I will just have to dream about reeling in those hogs
Next on my want list is a revo(b/c everyone on here and everywhere else raves about them and HOPEFULLY a rod by some of the local ppls.) BTW anybody got one of those codes and if so how does yours fancy you? <br />
