What a day, what a day, what a day!!!! Spur I wish you could have been there!!!! Took a good friend of mine from work out for his maiden grabbling adventure that has been in the making for 3 years now and I finally coaxed him into getting in the water with me. My O my was he glad he did!!! We hit my first getting spot that I break the rookies in on to no avail but we moved on to the next hole and that unmistakable THUMP!!!!! Rocked the concrete like a sledgehammer!! He quickly expressed himself about the riot down below and added a few choice words to his excitement!! emoLaugh emoEek emoBadLanguage It was up and down for several tries and he couldn't quite get a grip on the frisky critter below so I took a go at it and immediately got an unwelcome gift from the dweller below. Dung in and pulled out a nice blue in the 25lb. range to the excitement of my co-worker!! He was very surprised and was dead set on doing it himself the next time. So I took him up to the next spot and the instance his hand entered the hole WWHHHAAMMM!!!! He got introduced to the real thrill of just how fast he can get bit!!! emoUp
He pulled his first solo and landed himself a nice flatty in the low teens. Next stop a nice deep cavern that tends to hold one good fish year in and year out and this was the money shot of the day!!!! I told him to go ahead try with his hand first but didn't have a taker so I got out the pull rod and eased it back into the darkness and there it was!!!!!!! I thought I had jabbed a ragging bull in the hooha's with the reaction on the other end of the bamboo, it shredded my thumb and forearms on the concrete!! We worked it for a couple goes and got her head turned to us, Viola!!!! Out we come with one of the personal bests catches of my career!!!! Of course I still don't have my scales but this fish weighed 46lb. 8oz. last year so I don't have a clue how the weight gain is calculated but she was a beast!!!! My friend and his gal were astonished!!! That no doubt made my day!!!! We got several great pics and let her go and moved to the last stop of the evening. We checked the top and checked deep at the bottom and THUMP!!!! There was a nice nibble on the end of my bamboo!!! I pulled Chad over for a bookoo of tries to feel out how the lay of the land is inside the fishies humble home and to make an effort to bring her close enough to get a grip on her. She proved to be like any other woman and be stubborn emoTongue so I took several attempts and I finally got her head turned and pulled her from her hizzy for a some nice pics!!!! She looked as if he had swallowed a watermelon!!! LOL!!!! Guys this was one of the best days I've had and I hope you enjoy the pics!!!
