Well started off with keeper right off the bat on a carolina rig in about 15 ft of water. Caught aprrox 6-7 slicks. noticed that trolling motor wasnt keeping up. DANG!!!! i didnt charge the batteries. So i switched one of the trolling motor batteries with starting battery and made about a 15 minute run, was able to charge battery long enough to use. Had to move out of the main lake because of the weak motor. moved into a slough and fished a drop. Had 2 keepers come unbuttoned at the boat. Caught 3 17 inch smallies and every short fish on the lake. When the darkness set in, we fished the same area, 6 foot by deep water. Caught a ton of fish on jigs and the 5.50 that got us 2 nd big fish. but just couldnt fish where we wanted because the trolling motor was so weak....EXCUSES....EXCUSES....oh well, we had a blast and will do again next time.
