John called last night and wanted someone to occupy the back seat for today. We put in around Cottonport and started throwing Spooks, frogs and Sammies in water that looked prime for a major topwater bite. 2 small dinks were all we had to show for our trouble. We ran down river to Barley Slough where we picked up 3 keepers of no real size on Zoom Vibra Tail Worms and a 10" green pumpkin Berkley Power Worm off laydowns. John picked up our last keeper on a watermelon Zoom Brush Hog. Our 4 keepers would've weighed around 9 lbs. We did catch numerous smaller fish much like our Friday Night fiasco. Put the boat on the trailer around noon. We caught all of our fish in water 10' or less. Water temps remained steady at 77 degrees with a light stain. Thanks for the ride John.
