Shane and I hit the water around 5:30 yesterday evening and planned to fish for night time bass.
We started off trying to get a topwater bite... we threw toads in 2 of my good spots and only yeilded one small spot, so we decided to waste no more time doing that and went deep.
So we set up on some points throwing c-rigs w/10inch worms and jigs... first point didnt find a fish so we went up to another point that I never have had any luck on before and Shane hooked into a good 5.1lb largemouth on a bright colored jig. After that we hit some more points and hooked into another 4 keepers which wouldve given us an 11-12lb bag. By dark we tied on some black and blue spinnerbaits and stuck to our points, even hit a couple docks and banks but could never find another fish... so we went back to jigs and c-rigs just like earlier and eventually hooked into another couple of fish that measured. Got off the lake by midnight.
Still cant figure out the night fishing on Parksville emoBang It sure was nice out there though... almost a full moon, clear skies, and no wind whatsoever.
