Tried some new water Saturday afternoon and went below Raccoon Mnt. Pump storage area. After riding around and looking at one of the most beautiful views in this area, we finally started fishing around 5:00pm. Water temp was 78 with a bit of current. Fished in 6-10 ft of water with plastic lizard and worm. We caught 8 largemouth's. Biggest being around 3 1/2 lbs. I must say the fish were bigger in this area than up at River park and hit hard for it being so hot. I got a bad taste in my mouth Friday evening at River park between the yachts and boat traffic we almost got swamped by a 30 footer running wide open heading down river, and decided to try it down stream where you could enjoy fishing. "Yep you are right", I shouldn't have been down there in the first place. Live and learn!
