Fished some of my usual spots today without much luck. Got a few nibbles and missed a couple of strikes pitching worms around docks. Then WHAMMM! I about got the rod yanked out of my hands! After about 5 seconds of thinking I had the new world record bass on the line, I realized I had a monster blue cat stripping all the line off my reel. After a 5-7 minute fight, I got him near the boat as my buddy got the net. Only one problem- the fish was too big for the net! I guess thats a good problem to have though! He snapped the line after we fooled around with him by the boat for to long (hence, no pics). Didnt catch many bass, but had a blast catching that cat. My friend thinks it was 35-40 lbs. I say 40-50. I think I'm right. Made for awesome fun on 12 lb test and a med action spinning rig!
