I've been working every day ever since the last CFF tourney emoBang but, we decided to get out and try to get the last hour of breakin done on the motor this evening. Got it done, and fished some too. We put in at the dam and ran upstream for a while. Fished some humps on the way back, in water depths from 6 to 25 ft .... never found a good pattern. Missed a few fish and only caught 3 that weren't worth talking about...lol The fish we did hook came on carolina rigs and a deep running crankbait. Saw a lot of folks fishing the HBSP Thursday dogfight... hope they had better luck than we did during the couple of hours we fished. Water temps I saw was 87, saw some shad balled up around 8 ft, an occasional stripe would hit the top of the water... but, didn't see any schooling action. We stayed on mainlake structure, but didn't fish the deeper channel ledges. Saw a lot of folks doing this though emoSmile
Was good to at least get the boat out... I've got to work this weekend too emoRolleyes .. don't know when I can get back on the water. I need to hook up with Wrechin2 and get the other jets put in my carbs now... but, before I do that, I need to run out the gas in my tank (which has oil added to supplement the VRO during breakin) and will probably take a day off to let him help me dial in the carbs and jackplate.
Sure was hot this evening emoHoppingmad
