Shane and I fished out of Grasshopper yesterday morning and fished probably until 11 or noon. The wind never picked up for us and the sun was terrible even though the temps were cooler...

All we did was fish ledges with c-rigs all morning and caught about 12 bass with 5 small keepers... the bite wasnt really slow, we had tons of bites but nothing would ever hold on (thanks POWERBAIT) emoBig
With out the current I guess the bites were off, it was dead up there... so we got off and decided to come back in the evening and maybe get a couple hours of nite fishing in.
Got back on the river about 8 yesterday evening and fished until midnight. We had caught 16 bass in the first hour of fishing while they were schooled up like crazy on this one shallow ledge but after dark they shut off pretty bad... all the fish in that school we caught were under 2lbs. They were caught on swimbaits, c-rigs, and texas rig finesse being swam right through the school. It was fun for a while there. After dark they quit biting there so we headed down river and fished another couple ledges, by this time the current has seemed to shut off pretty bad... the small bites to where they dont get the bait was happening again just like in the morning without the current... We only managed one more in about 15FT that went about 3.5lbs and was BF of the day caught by Shane. It, too, was caught off a c-rig.
We headed back by midnight after the wind started to pick up and it started to feel pretty cold out there emoEek
