Lake Oahe Walleye

I'll be coming out from Utah in a week and wanted to see how the walleye bite was on Oahe? I am hearing that the fish are very healthy this year.....I sure hope the bite is good!

I'm from Utah and going to South Dakota in a couple of months. Did you fish in 09' when you went and how did you do? Boat? Shore?

I did and fished the Governors Cup in July. I have the details on my website at chadmillerfishing......but overall we did very well. The reports I am seeing the fish are just showing up at the mouth of the Cheyenne and around that area...and the bigger fish are shallow up in the underwater vegetation. I have a couple of places you can try....PM me and I will share.

Thanks anyway. I just did a little homework and found that we are going to the opposite side of the state (westside-around hotsprings). I'll keep your tips and try the vegetaion area the cottonwood springs lake
