Finally got a chance to get out with my Dad fishing for the first time in years and I thought the park would be a nice place to start. My days of running up and down the rocks were wearing on me so I decided to do something about it and make myself what has become known to me as the "Shad Caddy" LOL!!! emoThumbsup emoTongue and by golly she's a 110% $5.00 keeper idea. I took a Rubbermaid tote and an crawl space air vent cover and simply cut the holes out and attached the vent to the side of the tote and cut a door out in the lid. When we got to the bottom with the cooler of shad I just chunked a rock in the caddy and let it sink and poured the shad in there and they were happy as they could be and I think I only had 6 die in 2 big hauls!!!! emoTongue emoTongue emoTongue emoThumbsup emoThumbsup Anyway the day started with tonnes of bites and Dad landing himself his PB smallie at around 3lbs. and a couple spots and Rut got him a good SM and I got a LM and a spot and as usual the bite just stopped instantly. All in all we had a good day and would have fished longer but I mangled my cast net on the 2nd haul and we ran out soon as the water came on emoBang .
