I n a post I read someone said they where strippin the fly does that mean pulling the line in? I tried looking it up but couldn't find the answer

That is exactly what it is, but there different ways to "strip" the line.
Here is a video I found. Bad thing is, it starts with a COMMERCIAL how lame is that.
But there is the figure eight retrieve, the slow, the quick, the jerk...etc.

First you have to buy the fly some drinks, then stripping it becomes easy! LOL!

Stripping = Pulling in line

youve got the right idea and alot of help on how to do it..only thing i have to add is this method is best used with streamers ond other minow imitations..some flies arnt meant to be moved and should drift naturally..this method is for specific flies..
