That is exactly what it is, but there different ways to "strip" the line.
Here is a video I found. Bad thing is, it starts with a COMMERCIAL how lame is that. But there is the figure eight retrieve, the slow, the quick, the jerk...etc. http://www.ehow.com/video_2353493_stripp...shing.html [signature]

First you have to buy the fly some drinks, then stripping it becomes easy! LOL!

youve got the right idea and alot of help on how to do it..only thing i have to add is this method is best used with streamers ond other minow imitations..some flies arnt meant to be moved and should drift naturally..this method is for specific flies..
